It was a big hit for S/S10, and it looks set to be a big hit for F/W10 as well. What am I talking about? The Mulberry Alexa of course, which comes back with new colours that are guaranteed to make any girl drool. First, let’s start with the regular Alexa, which will come in buffalo leather, sparkle tweed and mixed haircalf.

The 3 shown above are the ones in soft buffalo (from top to bottom) in Plum, Grape and Black respectively. Oak is also making a comeback for F/W10, so there will be 4 colours in all for soft buffalo. Measuring 38 cm by 23 cm, they are expected to retail for GBP695 each.

The same 4 colours will also be represented in the Mulberry Oversized Alexa, slightly larger (42 cm by 32 cm) and priced atGBP795 a pop.

Next up, the Alexa in Sparkle Tweed, which is basically tweed with added sparkles? I’m sure this one will look even better in real life, and is priced at GBP795 each. Besides Powder (shown above), it will also be available in Gunmetal.

And last but by no means least, the Alexa in Mixed Haircalf, a favourite of Alexa Chung herself these few months as she was seen toting this gorgeous satchel to various fashion events. Available in Camel, it is priced at GBP1650 a pop.

I think I just peed in my pants.

Fall-Winter 2010 Mens Mulberry

I’ve been waiting for updates on this particular piece from the Spring-Summer 2010 Womens Loewe collection for the longest time, and as suspected, this particular piece will not be available for sale in Singapore. It will however be available for purchase in Hong Kong in the next few weeks, and the Loewe Amazona Fluo Ostrich Weekend Bag will retail for HKD52,300 (around SGD9400 or so).

Gorgeous, isn’t it? This weekend bag had its ostrich skin dyed in gold, an updated take on the historical Amazona which was first launched in Oro (gold suede) 35 years ago. Measuring 45 cm across, the fluorescent orange patent leather handles are in my opinion the perfect touch to this lust-worthy bag.

Honestly when I first went through the snapshots from the Fall-Winter 2010 Womens Louis Vuitton this morning on Style I was wondering why everything looked vaguely familiar.

Then I went through the Fall-Winter 2010 Womens Loewe runway press kit just now and it suddenly hit me. Marc Jacobs and Stuart Vevers must be hanging out together lots lately for both their collections look similar. Not exactly the same, but really, really similar.

Still, there is no denying that like the Louis Vuitton, Loewe’s collection is all feminine, lush and a throwback to a time when women were glamourous and life was lived as it was meant to be.

From the Spring-Summer 2010 Mens Loewe collection comes theLoewe Amazona Oro Suede Tote which will be in Singapore come March 2010. Retailing for under SGD3500 (in my excitement I forgot the actual figure), this is definitely one handsome tote. Oro (gold) suede body, trimmed with dark brown calf leather and finished with gold hardware. What more can you ask for?

Still, some may find maintaining suede in our hot and humid weather a pain, but in this case it’s well worth it don’t you think?
